Must-Haves for All-Day Site Seeing
When you’re out sightseeing all day, it’s so important to be comfortable and have all of your necessities available. These are some of my favorite go-to items for sightseeing.
Must Have Essentials:
Comfy Sneakers: In Italy, you’re not just walking all day. But you’re also often walking on cobblestones and uneven surfaces. Comfy shoes are a MUST. I love these On Cloud sneakers. They have a lot of cushion and support. But they’re also super cute and work great with pants, shorts, dresses, or jumpers.
Travelon Anti-Theft Crossbody Bag: Yes. Travelon bags have 5 different checkpoints making it one of the top anti-theft bags on the market. There’s lots of different styles. But I love this one because of the size and all the different compartments. Fits a ton inside and have special inside spots for passport, credit cards, and cash. There’s 2 side pockets that hold a water bottle and the travel umbrella listed next!
Travel Umbrella: If you’re out and about, you don’t want to be caught without an umbrella. This one is great. Comes in lots of colors. Also comes in a 2 pack, if needed.
Small Crossbody Bag: Here’s another option for a small bag that’s cute for the evenings, but still holds quite a bit. Actually…this is my go-to daily bag, even at home because it’s so convenient. I think I now have it in 7 different colors!
Zestt Travel Scarf: So versatile. I use it on planes and trains if it’s chilly. I also carry it while sightseeing. Works perfect if we’re popping into a church and I need to cover my shoulders. There’s 20 different ways to style this scarf!
Rain Coat: Love this lightweight rain jacket. Good price and it actually is pretty warm.
Travel Gadgets
I’m an Apple girl, so some of these are my favorites for my Apple products. Whatever your brand, make sure you have all the necessary plugs/chargers needed.
Apple AirTags: Literally the first time we used these in our luggage, the airline lost one of our bags. We were able to tell them that the bag was in Baltimore, not Chicago where it was supposed to be. The peace of mind pays for itself. I use one in checked bag, my carryon, and my crossbody purse. Purchase them individually or in a 4 pack.
Universal Adapter: If you’re planning to visit other countries, I recommend getting a universal adapter since you can use it everywhere. They’re a little bulkier than just the regular adapter plugs, but it’s worth it not having to buy a new adapter for every country you visit.
Voltage Converter: While I typically advise on only bringing dual voltage electronics, sometimes that’s not always possible. If you have an electronic that needs a power converter, Allwei is a recommended brand. This one has multiple plugs. Be sure to pay attention to instructions.
Italy Specific Power Adapter: For a less bulky adapter, I really like this one. Comes in a 1 or 2 pack. Has slots available for regular plugs, USB and USB-C cords.
Wireless Charger for iPhone, iWatch, and AirPods: This is another Apple-specific rec. But I love this wireless charger because it packs up flat and charges all 3 of my devices at once.
Anker Power Bank: Make sure you get the right one for your phone. But Anker is a fantastic brand.

Items for a Relaxing Flight
Don’t Leave the Hotel Without These
Compressed Towels: Add a little bit of water to these tiny, individually wrapped cloths for a quick face wash. I use this on the flight to wash my face. But, they’re great to throw a couple in your bag for a quick towel when you need it, we or dry.
Stall Mates: We don’t like to talk about it…but don’t go into panic mode anymore when you realize the public restroom you’re using is out of TP 😬. These individually wrapped wet wipes are flushable and hypoallergenic.
Disposable Paper Toilet Seat Covers: Speaking of public toilets…Did you know that toilet seats aren’t common in public bathrooms in Italy? These little travel packs come in a 10-sheet pack.
Dr. Scholls Blister Cushions: Also individually wrapped for travel convenience.
Hand Sanitizer Travel Wipes: I love these because they are super convenient and individually wrapped. Warning…they do have a pretty strong alcohol smell to them.
